The Wireless Set No. 48 is a USA designed and manufactured radio as an alternative to the Wireless Set No. 18. It had similar technical and operational specifications but differed in many details from the British set.

Normally fitted with an internal 'battle' battery, the Wireless Set No. 48 could also be powered from a Generator Hand 10 Watts Mark II.
