Production history
Manufacturer Northern Electric Company
The Lister Set, also known as a Listerphone is a First World War era portable telephone set designed for field use. The complete telephone consisted of leather case containing an instrument case together with a circular microphone and a separate head receiver.

Not much is known about this phone other than it was designed by F.A. Lister which is where it received its name.

Some examples of the leather case can be found with a metal plate on the outside of the top cover bearing the text:

THE LISTER SET
MADE BY
NORTHERN ELECTRIC
COMPANY LIMITED
MONTREAL

but it isn't known if Northern Electric was the only manufacturer of these sets.
