Maj N.C. Lewis | Major Nelson C. Lewis, Canadian Armed Forces, distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious service as Future Operations Planner, United States Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland, from July 2015 to July 2018. During this period, Major Lewis led the planning, development and coordination of operations to defeat violent extremist organizations in Afghanistan. He brilliantly conducted a mission analysis that led to the establishment of Joint Task Force Areas, a three star led headquarters organization charted to conduct offensive cyberspace operations to manipulate, disrupt and deny adversary use of cyberspace. Furthermore, Major Lewis developed the Command’s strategy to support a Presidential Directive to globally deny and de-legitimized the Islamic State and other violent extremist organizations. His strategy identified objectives and effects to achieve strategic and operations end states and ensured mission success. The distinctive accomplishments of Major Lewis reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Cyber Command, the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of Defense. | |||
