The Car, 5-cwt, 4x4 was a vehicle manufactured by both Willys Overland and Ford Motor Company. Its primary role was as a personnel carrier although it could also transport light cargo, be fitted with stretchers to operate as an ambulance. Many were locally modified for other roles including as a cable layer.
The vehicle featured two folding seats in front, a windscreen that could be folded down to lie flat on the hood and a detachable cover.
