73 Canadian Signal Squadron
Active November 1973 – 21 October 1979
Nickname 73 CDN Sig Sqn

73 Canadian Signal Unit (73 CDN Sig Unit) was organized to form part of Canada's contribution to the United Nations Emergency Force Middle East (UNEFME) in 1974.[1] In early 1975 the unit was redesignated 73 Canadian Signal Squadron (73 CDN Sig Sqn).[2]

The unit suffered two casualties during it's period of existence. Signalman T.E. Abbott died on June 14, 1975 (accidental fall from roof) and Signalman C.A. Dodge who died on July 2, 1979 (died while making vital dispatches).
